THE POSE TRAINING PROGRAM

A foundational training for emerging leaders in scientific open-source software, open-source hardware, and open data.

WELCOME TO THE POSE TRAINING PROGRAM

PLEASE NOTE: THIS WEBSITE WAS CREATED FOR A PILOT VERSION OF THE POSE TRAINING PROGRAM THAT RAN IN 2023

The POSE Training Program supports awardees of the US National Science Foundation’s Pathways to Enable Open-Source Ecosystems (POSE) program. It is co-facilitated by staff at the Center for Scientific Collaboration and Community Engagement (CSCCE) and the US Research Software Sustainability Institute (URSSI) at the University of California Berkeley.

GOALS OF THE PROGRAM

The program is intended to offer POSE awardees foundational training in concepts and topics relevant to scaling open-source projects into ecosystems. We will cover topics such as community engagement, governance and decision-making, and organizational structure, with invited experts from the open-source community offering guidance throughout.

The program is tailored to leaders and practitioners in scientific open-source software, open-source hardware, and open data roles.
